JavaScript Job: Full Stack Developer

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Working with the UI/UX designers to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, whilst taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.
• Translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce responsive (and multi browser) application.
• Development of new user-facing features.
• Building of reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Ensuring the technical feasibility of our UI/UX designs.
• Optimization of our application for maximum speed and scalability.
• Collaboration with other team members and stakeholders.
• Working within an Agile environment.
• Staying up-to-date on emerging technologies.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required

• 5+ years industry experience in web development.
• 5+ years industry experience in a Full Stack Developer role.
• 5+ years industry experience with one or more databases: MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, SQLite etc.
• Strong background in clean code, test driven development and code quality.
• Maintaining graphic standards and branding throughout the product’s interface.
• Experience working in Agile Scrum/DevOps environments
• Experience with the main PHP frameworks (Laravel a must, Symfony or other).
• Experience with JavaScript (Vanilla JavaScript, jQuery and ajax).
• Experience with one or more frameworks like bootstrap, foundation, material design etc.
• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS etc.
• Web services such as REST, SOAP, Curl.
• Laravel, Wordpress & Magento development experience.
• Secure programming experience.
• Cloud Platforms experience (such as AWS).
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Useful knowledge or experience but not desired, include:

• ECMA 6 and Typescript.
• Server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
• Task runner such as gulp or grunt.
• OCR, PDF.js, 3rd party payment vendors.
